[RFC] Modelling how ETHplus would react to a deep and sustained stETH depeg and what actions we can take via governance to mitigate loss

We are now ready to proceed with the on-chain vote to turn off default detection for ETHplus. The Request for Comments period has ended and the poll is closed.

The engineering team at ABC labs have looked into the issue of turning off default detection and found it is in fact possible at the DTF level by reducing the size of the emergency collateral set to 0. Out of all the options available this has been found to be the cleanest and easiest way to turn off default detection and keeps the proposal firmly in governors remit.

I am also satisfied that this roughly 6 week delay has allowed ample time for further objections to the proposal to be posted on the forum, of which we have had none.

To this end, if voting in favour of turning off default detection vote ‘FOR’ reducing the emergency collateral set to zero and if voting against turning off default detection vote ‘AGAINST’ for no changes to be made to the emergency collateral set, keeping the current default detection and delay parameters in place.

Voting begins in 9 hours.
