Introduction
Although I am fairly new to the community (joined November), most of the interested readers here will likely have seen some of my posts, suggestions and forum entry that now with Raphael’s help has turned into a RFC. So seems fitting to post the first Delegate Platform post as well. I hope many will follow!
My background is having been a crypto researcher, later head of research, for the oldest crypto fund of Europe, Cyber Capital. DAO wise I joined into The DAO, and later in 2020 I saw a new wave of opportunities and joined multiple DAOs. Some you might know (Index COOP, Kyber, Uniswap), some didn’t survive long enough (BasketDAO).
After 11 years in crypto I am looking for longer term strategies to maintain wealth, and Reserve its products are the closest to that goal. Reserve also has challenges. One of which is trust between the community and the team. Let’s see if with this delegate platform we can change some of that.
Why You Should Delegate to Me
For a long time now I have believed that politicians who want to become a politicians are the ones you do not want to actually have in charge. I must admit that I am not 100% sure if I should request delegation.
My earliest posts within the forum attracted attention of the DRF and I quickly joined. The rest followed within the last months. I have financial goals that I hope can be achieved through Reserve. That is my main motivation. I shared the following in the DRF group and will do so here as well.
Why not:
- In the community since December (so fairly new).
- Do not stake RSR, only hold 1 DTF (2 Top 100 DTFs are on my shopping list this week).
- Cannot promise that I truly care for each different DTF.
- Already have 2 jobs and personal life atm is quite demanding (sickness in the family).
Why still do it:
- I kickstarted the conversation and push for delegates, and believe that you should lead by example.
- Do care about Reserve doing well.
- Do have opinions.
- New to the community, but not new to Reserve and DAOs.
If RSR holders want to see a delegate have RSR staked and be a RSR OG, I understand. If RSR holders believe my last months speak for my drive, then I will take this delegate platform trial serious and do my best to participate and lead by example.
What Voters Can Expect from Me
My skillset is focused on wide crypto knowledge, strategy and competition comparisons. I have extensive knowledge of working in teams, off and on-chain, multisig voting and general DAO governance. All of these will be useful for a delegate in this trial.
Proof of History
As a Reserve community member since December my proof is having joined the DRF, joined the top 100, pushed for this specific delegate platform and owning CMC20, with two Top 100 DTFs soon following. Its not a long history, but I am driven.
Last words
If I am honest, I wish for RSR OGs to stand up and join this delegate platform. So many, with better and longer RSR resumes than I have, so that I won’t need to run. That would make me a lot more confident in this whole endeavor. In the case we just make the cut, then I feel that by now, due to my own pushing, it’s my duty to help fill that last gap.
