We’re in motion. The top 100 participants in the ecosystem are focused on building DTFs people want, by building the DTFs they want. One frontrunner is a BTC strategy that, when backtested, outperforms a simple buy-and-hold approach. You can think of it as an active, rules-based strategy managed within the DTF itself.
CONGRESS is another interesting idea. It’s a DTF designed to track the portfolios of top congressional traders. Historically, this DTF would have performed well, and it may also have meaningful viral potential.

DRF Call:
We discussed the delegate initiative, a creator program the DRF has been incubating, d15c0s’s RSR model, and a market-research/brand-building technique worth exploring.
Creator Program:
If and when X rolls out in-app trading, the livelihood of $RSR and DTF cashtags will become even more important, given the population of DeFi MAUs on X. The DRF has been working on a pilot creator program to reward community content on X and elsewhere.
The main questions we’re still trying to answer: What is the best way to select the winners? What level of RSR rewards is required to attract high-quality content? And is now the right time to launch a program like this?
For selecting winners, one proposal that received support was to have a small group– Nevin, Starl3xx, me, and 1-2 other community members rank the winners. We’re also looking into automated recognition tools like https://echomarket.app/.

Vox Pop:
@WIWC shared a market-research/brand-building idea that we could explore, known as Vox Pop. This is a journalism technique that features short, candid interviews with members of the public to gauge opinion on specific topics. It could help us understand how people outside the ecosystem react to the concepts behind the next wave of DTFs, as well as to DTFs more broadly. It’s also great marketing material if executed well. WIWC is looking into what it would take to put this together.

Delegate Initiative:
We discussed several open questions around the delegate initiative. There was broad support for the idea that delegates should be elected through races. One member suggested that the DRF itself could become a delegate, and several members thought it would be worth exploring. Though when the idea was brought to the DRF chat, one member pointed out that it could be difficult to hold a group accountable when governance decisions go wrong.
