[Initiative] Decentralized Ranger Folio (DRF)

Guild of heroes, idealists, & capitalists fortifying the RSR ecosystem.

What’s the DRF?

The Decentralized Ranger Folio (DRF) is a guild of reliable, RSR-aligned people who want to actively strengthen the Reserve ecosystem. Think of it as an index of talent ready to build momentum together. If the RSR community does not have the right talent or energy for a specific problem, the DRF aims to help bring in others who do.

The DRF is anchored on 3 core values:

  • Bias for Action - We move fast and create momentum to make things happen.

  • Positive-Sum - We turn challenges into shared upside and growth.

  • Transparency - We coordinate in public imperfectly, so everyone can contribute and co-own outcomes.

We’re an independent part of the Reserve ecosystem that aims to collaborate with Confusion Capital, ABC Labs, and all other committed contributors.

Where it lives:

The DRF runs on a monthly 90-minute agenda-driven live call and a 24/7 Telegram group, both for members only. For broader coordination, the DRF will use the Reserve forums and its new 𝕏 account, @DRF_hq.

What we’re aiming for:

  • Help current community and external experts coordinate in the nuance of RSR ecosystem needs, define helpful solutions, deliverables, and timelines, and work to secure funding.

  • Help scout and recruit skilled contributors to fill gaps in the RSR ecosystem.

  • Build awareness when something in the RSR ecosystem needs amplification.

  • Higher quality Reserve governance and grant activity through DRF vetting and elevating.

  • The DRF won’t sign grants or contracts itself, but rather it helps others do so effectively.

  • The DRF will be member-owned, similar to a co-op. Its governance model is still evolving and will be tested, refined, and shared openly as we go.

  • After 6 to 12 months of success, subject to members’ approval, the DRF could collect: (a) community tips and donations, (b) governance delegations, or (c) airdrops from other communities wanting growth/governance help.

DRF social media aims:

  • Co-facilitate a monthly meeting with CC/ABC Labs on priorities and narratives to explore.

  • Amplify Reserve Protocol on 𝕏, including teasing out “the how” conversations. We’ll try to amplify strong ideas and clarify misconceptions.

  • Strategically targeted, high-signal reply-guy posts that raise awareness of DTFs and RSR without price speculation.

  • Share data and insight snippets from Reserve dashboards for everyone to amplify.

  • Publish a weekly digest that highlights Reserve’s wins and challenges.

  • Share and adapt Reserve posts to reach new audiences on Instagram and TikTok.

  • Create memes that convey DTF and RSR utility.

  • Make it fun to be part of the RSR community.

We’re a volunteer crew, but we value consistency and accountability. For bigger or recurring tasks, DRF members will submit grant proposals to Confusion Capital.

Criteria for joining:

DRF membership is free but invite-only for now. We’re starting with 8 members, then expanding to 16 and 32. We’re keeping it tight so the quality stays high.

If you’re reading this, you’re already early. The next step is to complete the application and sign off on this charter so we can understand your interests and level of commitment. It’s a simple way for us to get to know each other better than just a username. You’re welcome to use an alias if you prefer.

We’re building a group of doers. If you think deeply, act decisively, and make things fun along the way, you’ll fit right in.

What members gain from participating:

Play an important role in improving Reserve ecosystem health.

Friendship, camaraderie, belonging. The ultimate hope for the DRF is that membership is a source of pride for those involved. If being part of the DRF is something you wear on your sleeve, it means the DRF has succeeded in its core mission.

There are other exciting, potentially lucrative outcomes if this group can compound influence by producing a professional presence across both Reserve governance and on 𝕏.

What if the DRF does not succeed in helping turn the community into productive capital?

There are plenty of ways this could fail. We may not attract the right people from the community or effectively recruit outside talent. Success hinges on strong collaboration with Confusion Capital and ABC Labs. We might fall short in securing grants or maintaining consistent, accountable work. Organizing in a decentralized way isn’t easy.

But if we get this right, it’ll be worth every effort.

If you’re ready to help strengthen the Reserve ecosystem and grow DTF awareness, please apply to join the DRF.

Happy to be part of DRF! I look forward to more impactful and coordinated efforts of an ever-growing group of people willing and capable to support and (perhaps a little bit) drive the success of Reserve! Here we go!

Very exciting initiative that could help with cross DTF funding of important initiatives. As governance facilitators it would not feel right to be directly involved, but we’re ready to support with governance design, ideas and of course a forum category.

Please do keep in touch with us to see how we can support this as best as we can.
