After more than a year of weekly DTF governance standups on X, it feels like a good time to reboot the format.
- Frist, we now have a group of six engaged delegates, decentralizing governance in a way not possible before
- Second, the older format felt like getting stale. While it provided a lot of value for documentation and discussion, it seemed like it didn’t attract or invite outsiders like it should.
- Third, I was getting a bit bored by doing this calls, and felt like my time can be used in a more meaningful way
Going forward the call will happen every other week, starting this Wednesday. I will still go through governance updates, because I feel it’s important to have a heartbeat to documentation, and a regular place where interested community members can congregate and discuss what’s on their mind. We had plenty of long, deep and meaningful discussions during these spaces, and I don’t want to jeopardize this possibility and venue.
In addition to these updates, I will present a topic that I think is relevant to Reserve and to DTFs. Community members can discuss this topic as well as the decisions being voted on or discussed.
For the first iteration, next Wednesday, April 15 2026, the topic will be Agentic Fund Management, the interaction of AI agents with DTFs and AI x crypto. I’ll prep a 10 minute presentation, and everyone interested is invited to weigh in with their views and outlook.
After this we will go through the governance updates as usual.
One open question is what the best time for these spaces is. We have delegates and community members in GMT -8 to GMT +8, at least. There’s no ideal time.
We tried 5pm UTC, which worked well, and recently switched to 3pm UTC, which seemed to work very well for EU folks but not so well for Pacific.
Which time would work well for you?
- 3pm UTC (7am PT, 5pm CEST)
- 5pm UTC (9am PT, 7pm CEST)
- 6am UTC (11pm PT, 8am CEST)
- other, please comment
